Lucentio
Play
Summary
Lucentio is a young Pisan scholar who arrives in Padua to pursue his studies but immediately falls in love with Bianca at first sight. He disguises himself as "Cambio," a Latin teacher, to gain private access to Bianca and woo her through translated verse. His scheme depends entirely on the resourcefulness of his servant Tranio, who impersonates him throughout the main plot.
