Summary

Malcolm is the eldest son of King Duncan and Prince of Cumberland, the rightful heir to the Scottish throne. After fleeing to England on his father's murder, he tests Macduff's loyalty with an elaborate catalogue of invented vices before revealing his true virtuous nature, then leads the English-backed army that overthrows Macbeth and restores legitimate order to Scotland.
